Olympic revamp funding withdrawn
Plans to revamp Weymouth seafront in time for the 2012 Olympics have been dealt a "devastating blow" after agreed funding was withdrawn.

Cameras to police parking rules | |
Drivers who park illegally in Bournemouth are set to face £70 fines if snapped by cameras in a special council vehicle. Patrols will monitor cars parked outside schools, at pedestrian crossings and at bus stops. A grace period started on Tuesday with offenders sent warnings. Fines are due to be issued by post from 17 June. The move comes after the council introduced cameras to catch speeding cyclists along Bournemouth seafront. Full story: BBC Tuesday, 09 June 2009. | |
