JOI ITO'S WEB HAS A GREAT NEW PET
Bo Ito's blog
Mizuka and Joi Ito have just adopted and brought home an adorable puppy they've called Bo.
It's not exactly a funky new cat, but it's a good start in their new home, which has a fabulous garden. Bo will be great company and make a good guard dog too when Joi is away at work. Hopefully they'll start a blog called Bo Ito's.
Joi Ito's sister has a very beautiful cat but I can't seem to find the picture to link here right now.

EVAN'S ATOM FEED (GENERATED BY BLOGGER)
What is it all about? Benefits? Do we need it too?
Evan Williams is co-founder and CEO of the former Pyra, the company behind Blogger. He now works on Blogger at Google and has a blog (another good example of a free BlogSpot) about the web, business, technology and random other things.
His recent one-line post evhead.com/atom.xml simply stated: "My Atom feed. (Generated by Blogger.)"
Can any readers here explain what this is about? The benefits of Atom? Who needs an Atom feed? If anyone blogs about it, please let me know so I can link it here. Two posts by Don Park may help with some clues: Just Say No To Atom Feed and Making Atom Happen.

YOUR GOOGLE NUMBER
Latest Google fad is calculating Google Numbers
Found this over at Don Park's: a person's Google Number is the number of results returned by Google when queried with the person's name in double quotes like "Don Park".
Don explains that some of the numbers seem too high because others, with identical names, are counted in. But, like he says, it's something to try if you are feeling depressed during the holiday season.
